MG Manjèd Beat — Biography

MG Manjèd Beat, born Gervé Milcent on January 23, 1997, is a versatile and dynamic Haitian artist hailing from Marchand Dessalines in the Artibonite Department. Emerging from the Haitian underground scene, he has crafted a unique sound that blends his roots with global influences, positioning himself as a rising force on the international stage.

Manjèd Beat began his musical journey in 2012. Surrounded by music from a young age, he quickly realized it was far more than a hobby — it became his primary outlet for expressing emotions, personal experiences, and his vision of the world. Over time, he developed a distinctive style characterized by rapid flows, intricate tongue twists, and explosive energy, while remaining deeply authentic to his Haitian identity.

The name “MG” comes from his initials (Milcent Gervé). The full artistic identity “Manjèd Beat” (meaning “Beat Eater”) emerged naturally around 2020, coined by fans and peers who were impressed by how aggressively and creatively he attacked instrumentals. The moniker perfectly captures his high-energy delivery and technical prowess.

His sound is best described as a vibrant fusion of melodic rap, Afrobeat, Amapiano, and urban international music. Versatile, energetic, authentic, and melodic, his style draws inspiration from a wide range of sources: the technical mastery of fast-flow legends like Eminem, Busta Rhymes, Twista, Tech N9ne, and Luke Gawne, alongside Afrobeat, Amapiano, and Haitian musical traditions. This cross-cultural approach allows him to create music that feels both rooted and boundary-pushing.

His first solo official track, “Relem Manjèd Beat,” was released on December 4, 2020. He gained early attention with a passionate freestyle tribute to Evelyne Sincère, which was later developed into an official collaborative track featuring Don Lover, Brunet Jean, and Bella Music. Since then, he has collaborated with numerous artists and producers across the globe, including Bob Cailloux (Haiti), Zake (Denmark), Sin Ruido (Dominican Republic), Kking Kaï (Netherlands), Hasel RP (Iran), Borris Ceballos (Colombia), and producers such as Young OG Beats (Madagascar), Don Beats (Haiti), VS Studio (Dominican Republic), and Tianroba (Germany).

Like many independent artists, Manjèd Beat has faced significant challenges — limited resources, building visibility, and balancing creative work with the business side of music. His greatest pride remains building a strong, independent artistic identity while staying true to his origins and personal vision.

Through his music, he aims to spread messages of hope, perseverance, self-confidence, and resilience, showing that difficulties can be transformed into fuel for success. His creative process typically begins with a strong emotion, story, melody, or instrumental, followed by recording in his studio before sending tracks to producers for mixing and mastering.

Currently, MG Manjèd Beat is focusing on his evolution with the release of “ALIVE” (available in both Afrobeat and Amapiano versions) and is completing a 7-track EP in English. His ambition is clear: expand his international audience, release impactful projects, grow his community, and proudly represent Haiti on the world stage. He believes Haitian music is gaining stronger global visibility but sees bilingual and multilingual projects as key to breaking language barriers.

Beyond music, he is passionate about reading, creativity, branding, fashion, personal development, and continuous learning.

MG Manjèd Beat wants to be remembered as an authentic, creative, and versatile artist who inspires others while fiercely representing his Haitian heritage. With his technical skill, cultural fusion, and unwavering determination, this young talent is steadily carving out his path from the Haitian underground toward the international music scene.
