After a hiatus of more than a year, Rood Adams Thélémaque—known to the public as Darkly Boy—makes his return to the music scene with a new single titled “Kole,” released on Friday, April 17, 2026.
In this two-minute track, the artist offers a soft and sincere dive into the world of romantic relationships. Through delicate sounds and a stripped-down performance, “Kole” highlights the closeness between two people, both physically and emotionally. The term, deeply rooted in everyday Haitian language, evokes shared intimacy—whether in an embrace, a tender moment, or a close dance.
This release marks an important step in the young singer’s journey. After stepping away from the spotlight for personal reasons, Darkly Boy returns with a clearer vision. He now expresses a desire to pursue his career with consistency and to establish a lasting presence in the Haitian music industry.
The public first discovered him in September 2024 with “Kadnase,” his debut track, which already showcased promising talent and notable artistic maturity. Originally from Thomassin and raised in Boutilier (Laboule 12), the artist has nurtured his passion for music since adolescence. However, it was only after completing his secondary education that he decided to fully dedicate himself to it.
His journey has also included a collaboration with a management team in 2024—an experience that helped structure the early stages of his professional career before ending a year later by mutual agreement.
Today, with “Kole,” Darkly Boy begins a new chapter—more independent, yet more determined. Available on several streaming platforms, the single confirms his return and reflects an artistic identity in full evolution. The artist now seems ready to move forward with confidence, driven by passion and a desire to leave a lasting mark on the Haitian music scene.
