Ivens Previl, born on January 20, 1999, has built an impressive journey that bridges technology, visual arts, and media. Today recognized as a journalist, presenter, and content creator, his professional path began with a deep passion for multimedia that sparked in 2014. Influenced by his older brother who worked in audiovisual production, Previl started experimenting with graphic design on Android devices. After completing his classical studies, he pursued training in IT, which laid the foundation for a professional career in informatics, graphic design, and photography. He worked as a photographer for several media outlets in the capital and international organizations, including H3 Missions Inc.
In 2019, driven by a growing love for the field, Previl launched his first media platform, Media Pam Worldwide, to refine his skills. He then enrolled in a Multimedia Journalism program in the capital. By 2023, he had oriented himself toward Smart Reporter, a dynamic reporting style suited to the new generation that focuses on delivering clear, precise, and concise information in a short time.
When covering major events, Previl finds certain moments particularly memorable. One standout experience was covering the 5th edition of ZenAyiti. However, what touches him most is the opportunity to interview prominent figures actors, artists, and personalities whom he used to watch on television as a child. These encounters represent a full-circle moment in his career.
Previl’s approach to hosting shows and podcasts is shaped by his Smart Reporter background, allowing him to communicate information efficiently and accessibly. His personal style blends humor with the ability to create a warm, engaging atmosphere. He aims to deliver content that is both informative and entertaining, making complex topics approachable while connecting authentically with his audience.
Social media plays a central role in Previl’s work. He has adapted his journalism and presenting style to thrive in this fast-paced digital environment. The main advantages, he notes, are the speed and reach messages can travel farther and faster than ever before. However, he also recognizes significant challenges: social platforms place everyone in the same space regardless of expertise, leading to uninformed judgments. Many people now present themselves as journalists without proper training or ethics, making it harder for professionals to stand out and often resulting in unfair comparisons.
Looking ahead, Previl’s vision is ambitious. He plans to create a comprehensive Multimedia platform that serves as a lasting heritage project, focused on valorizing and educating young people worldwide across multiple languages. In the coming years, he hopes to be seen as a role model by his generation and to establish himself among the world’s recognized leading journalists.
With his diverse background in IT, graphic design, photography, and journalism, Ivens Previl represents a new wave of versatile media professionals who combine technical skills with creative storytelling. His journey continues to evolve, driven by passion and a clear sense of purpose.
