Haitian Artist Tafa Mi-Soleil Releases New Music Video “LAVE”

Haitian singer and songwriter Tafa Mi-Soleil has unveiled her latest single and music video “LAVE,” a fresh release that continues her exploration of cultural roots and spiritual themes in contemporary Haitian music. The track, produced by AndyBeatz, became available on streaming platforms on May 7, 2026, accompanied by a visually compelling video clip.

Born Evenie Rose Thafaina Saint Louis in Fort Jacques, Kenscoff, in 1998, Tafa Mi-Soleil has built a reputation as a rising voice in Haitian music. Known for blending traditional rhythms, rasin influences, and modern sounds, she often addresses themes of identity, resilience, women’s rights, and spiritual protection. “LAVE,” which translates to “wash” or “cleanse” in Haitian Creole, draws on cultural practices of energetic and spiritual cleansing using water, herbs, and ancestral knowledge.

The song encourages listeners to protect their energy, release negativity, and maintain balance a message rooted in Haitian traditions while resonating with broader audiences. Through soulful vocals and rhythmic arrangements incorporating tambou and other traditional elements, Tafa delivers a track that feels both deeply personal and culturally grounded.

This new release comes after a period of artistic reflection and follows previous projects that have earned her growing recognition within Haiti and the Haitian diaspora. With “LAVE,” Tafa Mi-Soleil reaffirms her commitment to creating music that honors her heritage while speaking to contemporary realities of emotional and spiritual well-being.

The video, directed in collaboration with visual artists, features imagery that reflects Haitian landscapes and cleansing rituals, enhancing the song’s powerful message. As Haitian music continues to gain international attention, “LAVE” stands as another example of Tafa’s distinctive artistic voice.
