Violette AC Crowned Closing Series Champions with Dominant 4-0 Victory Over Baltimore SC

Pétion-Ville, Haiti — Violette Athletic Club (VAC), the historic “Old Tiger,” completed a remarkable national double by securing the D1 Paryaj Lakay Closing Series title with a commanding 4-0 win against Baltimore Sportif Club of Saint-Marc in the return leg of the final on Sunday, May 11, 2026, at Parc Sainte-Thérèse.

After a tense 0-0 draw in the first leg at Saint-Marc, Violette delivered a clinical performance in front of their home supporters, putting the outcome beyond doubt early and cruising to victory. Goals from Daison Norestant (5’), Jerry Anis (35’), Clavens Exantus (77’), and Stay Plaisimond (87’) sealed the emphatic result.

This triumph marks Violette AC’s second title of the 2025-2026 season, having previously defeated the same opponent in the Opening Series final. The club, one of Haiti’s oldest and most decorated institutions, has reaffirmed its dominance in the new era of the Haitian Football League (LHF).

A Season of Excellence

Violette’s path to the double highlighted their consistency and depth. Known for their attacking flair and defensive solidity, the Old Tigers controlled the decisive match from the opening whistle. The early strike by Norestant set the tone, while Anis’s goal just before halftime effectively ended Baltimore’s hopes of a comeback. The second-half additions from Exantus and Plaisimond turned the final into a celebration for the blue-and-white faithful.

Baltimore SC, a respected side from Saint-Marc with a proud history of their own, fought valiantly throughout the campaign but could not match Violette’s firepower on the day. The Saint-Marc outfit will nevertheless represent Haiti in the Caribbean Shield, while Violette advances to the Caribbean Cup.

Recognition for Standout Performers

Individual honors in the Closing Series went to Violette’s goalkeeper Gooly Elien, named the best goalkeeper, and Woodensky Pierre, recognized as the best player of the series.

With this victory, Violette Athletic Club not only adds another championship star to its jersey but also writes a new chapter in its storied legacy. Founded in 1918, the club continues to embody tradition, excellence, and ambition in Haitian football.
