Coup de Génie (“Stroke of Genius”) is a dynamic general knowledge game show proudly presented by C&O Marketing Group in collaboration with Parc Pierre Louis (PPL). Unlike traditional quiz formats, this competition emphasizes collaboration and school spirit by bringing together teams of three players — with the exception that teammates may come from different schools.
The event takes place every Saturday at Mon K-Do in Hinche, Plateau Central, a vibrant open-air cultural and entertainment venue capable of hosting thousands of spectators. It’s the perfect setting for an afternoon of fun, learning, and friendly competition.
How the Game Works
Participants form teams of three “geniuses” and put their general knowledge to the test across a wide variety of themes, with the rule that teammates must come from different schools. The questions are carefully designed to cover diverse areas of culture générale (general knowledge), including:
- Geography — Haitian geography and world geography (countries, capitals, continents, landscapes, and climates)
- History — Haitian history and major world events and figures
- Music — Haitian music (compas, racine, rara, troubadour, etc.) and international music, artists, and movements
- Sports — National and international sports, iconic athletes, and major competitions (World Cup, Olympics, NBA, etc.)
- Literature — Haitian and French literature, major authors, works, literary movements, and famous quotes
- Current Affairs — National and international news, culture, economy, politics, society, and recent major events
This well-rounded format ensures that players need both local knowledge of Haiti and broader global awareness to succeed.
Attractive Cash Prizes
The competition offers substantial rewards, with a total prize pool of 250,000 Haitian Gourdes (GDEs) distributed as follows:
- 1st Place: 150,000 GDEs
- 2nd Place: 60,000 GDEs
- 3rd Place: 40,000 GDEs
Teams compete for these life-changing cash prizes while having fun and showcasing their intelligence and teamwork.
Who Can Participate?
The game is exclusively open to students from NS2 to NS4 who want to form their dream team of geniuses. Only eligible students within these levels can participate
