European Tour Wraps Up for Sahel Roots & Zack Prod

After an intense month of creation, encounters, positive vibes, and sharing, the European tour of Sahel Roots and Zack Prod has come to a close. This human and artistic adventure, rich in musical exchange and cultural connection, has left a lasting impression on all involved.

TADIAZT, a Malian cultural association specializing in artist promotion and technical training in the live performance sector, proudly handled the tour management and booking for the entire project. The organization expressed sincere gratitude to the artists and their management for their commitment, availability, and trust throughout the journey.

The tour featured stops and collaborations with several key cultural partners across Europe:

  • Muziekpublique in Brussels, Belgium (including a concert at The Faculty and a creative residency)
  • CCN / Centre culturel de Namur (Théâtre de Namur), Belgium, which hosted part of the artistic creation residency
  • Associació Cultural Storyville in Barcelona, Spain
  • Festival La Nuit des Griots in Marseille, France (11th edition), where Sahel Roots performed as part of the program highlighting griot traditions and Malian music

Additional concerts took place in various French venues (including the Pays de la Loire region) and other Spanish locations, blending traditional Sahelian sounds — such as the sokou (one-string violin), djourou kelen (one-string lute), and calabash percussion — with contemporary energy.

Sahel Roots, the young Malian duo from Bamako (Alassane Samaké on vocals and calabash, Adama Sidibé on traditional string instruments), draws deeply from Sahelian and desert roots while addressing everyday African realities like daily life, social issues, and resilience.

The tour concluded on a high note, with new connections forged and renewed motivation for future projects. Organizers and artists alike are already looking forward to the next chapter of this cross-cultural musical journey.

A big thank you goes to all the venues, teams, audiences, and contributors who made this beautiful adventure possible.
